Information for Carers

If you look after a relative or friend, who because of illness, disability or the effects of old age cannot manage to live independently at home without your help you are a carer!

Let your GP know so that you can be directed to the right support and services.

Lucy Butts is the Carers champion for the practice and is here to help you.  Please contact her by phone or email bnssg.cedarssuregry@nhs.net.

Sometimes it can feel as though you are the only one out there and it can be helpful to talk to someone about your situation. There are several support organisations for carers in North Somerset who can offer advice, information, practical and emotional support. If you would like free information about services available to support carers locally please follow the link https://www.alliancehomes.org.uk/support-services/our-support-services/ or telephone Care Connect on 01934 888 801.

Please visit http://nhs.uk/carers  for a link to carers Direct and you can also get more local information from the following link https://www.n-somerset.gov.uk/my-services/adult-social-care-health/carers.
