If you look after a relative or friend, who because of illness, disability or the effects of old age cannot manage to live independently at home without your help you are a carer!

Let your GP know so that you can be directed to the right support and services.

Sometimes it can feel as though you are the only one out there and it can be helpful to talk to someone about your situation.
